Day Fifty-One and Fifty-Two

What a weekend! Our mini van has been on the fritz, clunking and clanging and making crazy noises causing one to question if we would ever arrive at our desired destination on time or in one piece. We had it looked at and the value of the car was less than the amount of work it needed. This has been causing me so much stress. We had wanted to make some plans that would include travel and we were concerned that this wouldn't be a possibility.  With not knowing how much time we will have to travel together as a family, this has been something that has been weighing on me and Ryan.  The kids have also voiced our hopes for the upcoming summer and in wanting to spend time together.  Recently, a very good friend reached out to us and offered to help us get a safer vehicle to use, making these dreams possible. It has been fun to drive different cars and see how excited our kids were to finally sit in our new vehicle.  It weighs on me knowing that I need to find a way to pay our friend back somehow, if that is even possible. We really are so grateful for this kindness.

Ryan has been in high spirits this weekend, it has been so nice so feel like he is doing ok. I have been using homeopathic remedies to help with his pain (in addition to the Mary Jane) and it has really been helping. I am happy that his white blood count is still in the normal range-something the Doctor was shocked about! And now he is getting relief with his pain he even put his pain number down to a 1, this hasn't been his number since before surgery!

We have been in spring break this last week and really we haven't done much which has been a nice change of pace.  The kids being able to play with friends, sleeping in, and multiple treasure hunts has made it fly by.  However, I am glad school is up and going again tomorrow, even though I have to run all over the place.

We are into the second half of this treatment cycle and the end is in sight.
